Missing Des Plaines-area girl found, safe

A missing 13-year-old girl from unincorporated Elk Grove Township has been located and is safe, authorities said Friday morning.

The girl had last been seen Wednesday at her home, and a search was launched on Thursday by the Cook County sheriff's office.
