'Friends' Experience to close temporarily because of COVID-19 restrictions

"Friends" fans hoping to experience the "The One in Chicago," the immersive exhibition that opened last month at The Shops at North Bridge, will have to wait a while longer.

The exhibition recreating rooms from the award-winning NBC sitcom has temporarily closed in response to renewed restrictions issued statewide to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. The exhibition at 540 N. Michigan Ave., Chicago, is scheduled to reopen March 17.

"The safety of our guests and staff has always remained our top priority and we feel we need to take this proactive measure to ensure everyone's safety," said Jonathan Mayers, founder and CEO of exhibition producers Superfly X, in a prepared statement.

Customer service representatives will contact ticketholders about rescheduling or refunds.
