Refusal to concede harms the country

I am an administrative election judge for Cook County and would like to assure the citizens of the U.S. the election process is administered by both Republican and Democrat judges who must follow many steps of set-up, guidelines, processes and closing of the polls, that involve data transmission to the board, paper tallies that must be signed by every judge and a record of seals that secures the e-poll books and scanner.

When Trump refused to concede, a wave of sadness came over me. His accusations were without merit and saddened me, as he discredits the wonderful teams of election judges in Cook County. Facts: votes and ballots were carefully handled, observed by both parties and cast successfully. There is no evidence whatsoever of voter fraud.

Our country is desperate for a leader to guide us through this second wave of the pandemic. Donald Trump has an opportunity to create a legacy or create chaos, in the next 70 days. I am hoping Trump concedes and lets Biden's team begin their transition work. COVID must be stopped. Jobs must be created. President Trump, please choose to lead us in the next two months and accept Biden's election.
