Aurora heroin dealer gets 9 years in prison
An Aurora man has been sentenced to nine years in prison on heroin charges.
Jose A. Pabon, 51, of the 1400 block of South Glen Circle, was sentenced Nov. 9.
He was convicted in September of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, unlawful delivery of a controlled substance and possession of heroin.
Kane County detectives and Drug Enforcement Agency agents were investigating suspected drug sales Nov. 7, 2016. They reported seeing Pabon sell .9 grams of heroin in a business parking lot in the 600 block of Montgomery Road in Montgomery. When they stopped and searched his vehicle they found 4.2 grams of heroin, according to a news release from the Kane County state's attorney's office.
Pabon must serve at least half the sentence before he is eligible for probation. He received credit for 70 days he has spent in jail.
