Police still searching for driver in fatal Aurora hit-and-run

Aurora police are searching for a driver involved in a hit-and-run crash that killed a bicyclist on the city's east side Saturday evening.

Officers responded at about 7:30 p.m. to the intersection of Montgomery Road and White Eagle Drive, where they found a man lying in the roadway, according to a news release from the Aurora Police Department.

Paramedics attempted lifesaving measures, but the man was pronounced dead on the scene. The identity of the man has not yet been released.

Traffic investigators reconstructed the accident and are still searching for the offending vehicle. Anyone with information about the crash is encouraged to call the Aurora Police Department Traffic Division at (630) 256-5330 or Crime Stoppers at (630) 892-1000.
