Cash reward offered for information about Naperville armed robbery

Authorities are offering a cash reward for information about an armed robbery in Naperville earlier this week.

Two masonry workers told police they had been completing work for a homeowner about 10 a.m. Monday in the 1700 block of Mundelein Road when they were approached by two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun, according to a Naperville Crime Stoppers news release.

The men stole power tools from the job site and drove away in a 2020 four-door Toyota Corolla bearing out-of-state temporary plates with tinted windows and possible damage to the front of the passenger side, officials said. No injuries were reported.

One suspect is described a man standing about 5 feet, 8-10 inches tall with a medium build, wearing a black sweatshirt, dark pants and a full face and head covering, officials said.

The other is described as a black man between 20 and 30 years old, standing about 5 feet, 5 inches tall with a medium build, police said. He wore a red shirt and a mask covering his neck, nose and mouth.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at (630) 420-6006 or www.napervillecrimestoppers.com. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
