Naperville library names new deputy director
The Naperville Public Library has promoted 95th Street Library manager Ellen Conlin to the role of deputy director, replacing Karen Dunford after her retirement last month.
Conlin, a Berkeley resident, began her new position last week. She was hired in 2014 as children's services librarian and later served as children's services supervisor and library manager at the Naper Boulevard and 95th Street locations, according to a news release.
As deputy director, Conlin is tasked with creating a new culture code for the organization, while also helping to lead the library through the COVID-19 pandemic, officials said.
"I'm looking forward to growing our connections in the community, making new partnerships, and working with staff to implement new, ambitious ideas and services," she said.
