Public hearing scheduled Nov. 12 for proposed Glenwood Station Project

Holladay Properties has submitted plans to the village of Glen Ellyn for a mixed-use development located at the northwest corner of Crescent Boulevard and Glenwood Avenue.

The property, formerly owned and occupied by the McChesney & Miller grocery store, has been vacant since the closing of the store in 2014.

The proposed development, to be called Glenwood Station, would consist of a 5-story (+/- 67 feet), 6-level mixed-use building with 86 apartment units; 1,490 square-feet of commercial space; and 102 parking stalls.

The plan commission will conduct a public hearing to review the project at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, via Zoom, with the public invited to participate. Zoom details are provided at www.glenellyn.org/717/Glenwood-Station.

Additionally, public questions or comments regarding this proposed project can be submitted in advance of the meeting either via the Plan Commission public comment form or via email to planner Katie Ashbaugh.

All public comments received by 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, will be read into the record at the public hearing.

The plan commission meeting agenda, staff report, and the plans and documents submitted by the developer are available for public view on the village's agendas & minutes page.
