Bartlett man charged with possession of weapon by a felon

Bartlett police on Thursday arrested 55-year-old village resident Patrick Grimaldi, whom the Cook County state's attorney's office charged with unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon.

About 6 a.m. that day, the Illinois Department of Corrections conducted a parole compliance check at Grimaldi's residence and discovered firearms ammunition and a loaded .32-caliber pistol, authorities said.

The Illinois Department of Corrections also issued a warrant for Grimaldi alleging he violated conditions of his parole.

On Friday, Grimaldi was taken to the Cook County jail to await his bail hearing.
