DuPage County offering water quality grants
Organizations and individuals are invited to apply for grant money for projects aimed at improving DuPage County's streams and rivers.
DuPage's stormwater management department will accept grant proposals until Jan. 8. The Water Quality Improvement Program funds projects that benefit the regional water quality, including restoration and green infrastructure projects.
Grants will fund up to 25% of construction and maintenance costs. Past grants have helped pay for permeable paver parking lots, green roofs and native vegetation. Roughly $300,000 is awarded annually, officials said.
Visit dupageco.org/WQIPgrant for more information or to download the application.
