Lincolnshire presents 'Good 2 Be Good' campaign

The village of Lincolnshire has announced the "Good 2 Be Good" in Lincolnshire social media campaign, which runs through all of November.

"Good 2 Be Good's" goal is to convey positive messages and information to residents of all the good things their neighbors, businesses, restaurants, and village are doing to best serve the Lincolnshire community.

Some examples of the campaign's messages include:

• Humanitarian projects

• Good-to-know village services

• Stories of kids doing good deeds

• Shopping for Lincolnshire goods this holiday season

• Health and safety reminders

"My hope is for the 'Good 2 Be Good' campaign to bring smiles to the faces of Lincolnshire residents, to give them a moment of pause and say, 'Wow, that's an awesome project!' or 'I didn't know the village provided that service,'" Mayor Elizabeth J. Brandt said.

"Throughout the campaign, we want to give readers an opportunity to take a break from focusing on what's currently happening in our world and instead focus on the good things going on in our community.

"This campaign is a reminder to all that it's good to be a good neighbor, friend, and member of our community."

Lincolnshire is also soliciting stories from the public of good deeds residents are performing to feature during the "Good 2 Be Good" campaign. Stories can be submitted to administrative intern Jack Cascone at jcascone@lincolnshireil.gov.

The village will use #Good2BeGood and #LincolnshireStrong on social media to collate posts in centralized locations.
