Indiana reports nearly 2,800 new COVID-19 cases, 28 deaths

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Indiana public health officials on Sunday reported 2,787 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 28 additional deaths.

Overall 182,108 people have had coronavirus since the pandemic began. The death toll is 4,124 people, according to the Indiana Department of Health.

Another 240 probable deaths have also been reported based on clinical diagnoses but there's no positive test on record.

Health officials said Sunday that nearly 11,000 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours. Nearly 3 million tests have been reported since late February.
