The truth about rights

Hmmm, I'm seeing a new buzzword erupt - truth. We all love truth, right? Oh, I forgot, it depends on what truth is. Truth is independent of what people say it is; you can't make something true just by saying it over and over again.

You can't make something true just by saying it even if you are powerful. So whether they are politicians or the mob, they can't dictate what is truth. People of integrity know this. They know it is true that persons have intrinsic rights as that is the truth about the dignity of persons. They know that the state does not create these rights to grant to whom and when it pleases. They know that the US Constitution does not grant these rights, but protects these rights.

People of integrity also know how precious the right to freedom of speech, religious freedom and freedom to defend one's home and family from harm and harassment are. I recognize in Jeanne Ives a true person of integrity. Jeanne Ives does not take orders from politicians or the mob and she is sure protection for the persons in the 6th District from those who would trample their rights and dignity.

Why are people concerned about their rights at this time? What are they seeing in our country? They are seeing people's intrinsic rights trampled. They see people lose their jobs for an opinion they post on social media, they see people harassed for their political affiliation, they see state governments prosecuting people based on the demands of the mob, they are seeing free discussion penalized on college campuses. Jeanne Ives served to protect this country and she will serve to protect our rights.
