Passion for our rights

Wow. Has DuPage and its county board changed since Tim Elliott was first elected to the DuPage County Board District 4 in 2016. At the time, the county board had one Democratic member. At the time, it had one female member. At the time, the Republicans had 17 of the 18 members. Mr. Elliott was never an outsider. Mr. Elliott was a member of the party with 17 county office holders. He had little to account for. Lynn LaPlante, the Democratic candidate for county board, brings a fiery brand of informed, independent politics to the table.

Anyone who knows her is assured of her passion to stand up for the residents of District 4. Lynn will fight for us DuPage citizens not for herself. With this independence, she will fight for fiscal responsibility. When you represent the forever-majority party, like Mr. Elliott, transparent fiscal responsibility and documented conflicts of interest abound. Who's to check them?

Lynn LaPlante has passionate convictions about transparency and not taking funds from those doing business with the county - unlike her opponent. Further, Lynn is committed to ensure our community's diverse voices are represented by advocating alongside marginalized groups. When has that ever been a part of her opponent's platform? Yes, DuPage County has dramatically changed since 2016 and Lynn LaPlante is prepared to represent that change for us all in County Board District 4.
