Middle-class values

I would like to encourage you to vote for Greg Schwarze who is running for DuPage County Board Dist. 6. Greg is my neighbor and has made time to help plow a driveway or lend a hand despite his busy schedule. It's part of his good nature. He is currently serving his 4th term as a Carol Stream trustee and has been a firefighter for over 27 years.

Greg prides himself on his middle-class, working values. As a union member, he is an advocate for strengthening the middle class. As a firefighter/paramedic, Greg has seen the opioid addiction problems firsthand. He is an advocate for greater mental health availability, family involvement and early education at home and in schools to prevent the damage and deaths associated with drug abuse. Public safety is one of his top priorities.

Greg is proactive when it comes to the concerns of our seniors. Currently he sees the concerns presented by the COVID pandemic. He sees the need for essential PPE for seniors, families and caregivers in senior facilities and homes. With the senior population set to double in the next decade, funding of senior services is an important issue in the future.

As a candidate for county board, Greg hopes to help put an end to the "Us vs Them Mentality." As a village trustee, he has worked with both parties for the good of the community. Bipartisan respect is another one of his values. I hope you will vote for Greg Schwarze, DuPage County Board Dist. 6.
