Man accused of pointing gun at truck driver in Glen Ellyn

Glen Ellyn police evacuated a residential building and locked down a nearby school Friday as they sought a man accused of pointing a gun at a truck driver.

At 8:15 a.m., officers who were called to the area of Duane Street and Melrose Avenue and learned the man may have taken refuge in the building.

The building and surrounding area were evacuated, and St. Petronille School was placed on lockdown.

At 11:15 a.m., the suspect, Christopher M. Davis, was arrested at his home without incident.

Police said the gun Davis is alleged to have pointed at the victim was recovered.

Davis was charged with one felony count of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and one misdemeanor count of aggravated assault.
