Huntley sets trick-or-treating hours for Oct. 31

The Village of Huntley trick-or-treating hours are 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31.

Halloween may look a little different this year, but it can still be enjoyed safely! Please review Illinois Department of Public Health and Centers for Disease Control websites for tips and suggestions for enjoying Halloween this year (links will be posted on the Village's Special Events page).

For your safety, as well as the safety of other trick-or-treaters and treat providers, please:

• Wear a mask (not the Halloween variety) when interacting closely with others.

• Do not leave bowls of candy on your porch that multiple people will touch.

• Please turn on your outdoor light if you choose to provide treats.

• Please leave your porch light off if you choose not to participate.

If you do not have an exterior light, the village has posted a printable sign on the Special Events page at www.huntley.il.us that may be hung on your door indicating that you are a Trick-or-Treating free zone. Signs may also be picked up at village hall.

The village encourages everyone to practice social distancing and to carry hand sanitizer. Enjoy Halloween and be safe!
