Marian University Student-Athlete Feature: Palatine Native Erin Oleksak

Indianapolis, IN - After being named the Crossroads League Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, Palatine native Erin Oleksak added a second honor of the week to her name as she was named the NAIA Player of the Week Tuesday morning. This is the first time in Oleksak's career she has been named an NAIA Player of the Week for women's soccer, and her second overall NAIA weekly award after earning the honor during the 2020 indoor track and field season.

Oleksak did the heavy lifting for No. 2 Marian in its victory over No. 14 Grace, scoring twice and assisting another Knight score in the 5-0 win. Oleksak scored the game-winning goal in the third minute of the match, while assisting and scoring on the first two goals for Marian in the second half. Oleksak is now tied for the team lead with 11 goals this season, and is ranked No. 2 in the NAIA in goals scored.
