Tunnel of Terror Haunted Car Wash to benefit Food for Greater Elgin

Have you always loved Halloween and haunted houses, but are in fear of COVID germs? A car wash in Elgin has found a real-life, fear-free way to enjoy Halloween hauntings.

Visit Brittain's "Tunnel of Terror" on Wednesday to Saturday, Oct. 28-31.

From 6 to 10 p.m., Brittain's Car Wash in Elgin will be taken over by lost souls, goblins, spirits and mass murder types for local Halloween fun. Located at 1572 Larkin Ave., this car wash is ready to get you scared clean!

Let Brittain's scare the yell out of you while you get your car clean at their Tunnel of Terror. Watch for ghosts and ghouls and be ready for a frightful wash. Tickets are $20 per car and includes Brittain's car wash full of special effects, frights and fun, all while getting a Platinum Clean car.

Five dollars of each entry goes to Food for Greater Elgin to help people with food insecurity in the Elgin area.

"It is an amazing organization that is feeding 20% more people during COVID-19 than we have in the past, so we really wanted to give the community something fun to do, but also help people in need," said car wash owners Mike and Laurel Warren.

"We have done our very best to transform our car wash into a fun and exciting Halloween experience to help families enjoy this Halloween season in a safe COVID friendly way while helping our food insecure neighbors," Warren stated.
