Get beyond emotion

Think of Trump's style and manner however you want. Emotion is a powerful force.

The drum beat of emotions began on November 9, 2016 and continued unabated. The "oh, woe is me" mentality was rampant. Since then, a trumped up emotional narrative has been laid bare for what it truly is, unscrupulous politics.

Emotions do not get you a good-paying job and food on the table, long-term financial security, safety to your person or family, military preparedness, bringing back jobs and pharmaceutical supply chains from China, or de-escalation of tensions in the world. Emotions do not get favorable trade deals that enhance the livelihoods of all Americans. Emotions do not mitigate over-burdensome regulations that hamstring an economy or enhance development of lifesaving therapies and vaccines.

Emotions do not decrease the thousands of dollars in health care deductibles one may be liable for. And If you are one of 180 million who gets your health care through your job, you are intimately aware how that coverage could be in dire jeopardy.

Actions and smart policies get things done that mere emotions can never achieve. Only one person has taken action with such policies. A doer, a president, a President Donald J. Trump.

Ask yourself, how far do you want your emotions to get in the way of your judgment?
