Suburban-based council identifies cleaning excellence

NORTHBROOK - The Global Biorisk Advisory Council has launched a web-based tool to identify facilities that have earned, or committed to achieve, its accreditation for cleaning, disinfection and infection prevention.

The Northbrook-based council, a division of the ISSA, a worldwide trade association for the cleaning industry, will publish an online Facility Directory for its STAR program. The directory will list stadiums and arenas, convention centers, hotels, restaurants, airports, commercial facilities and more.

"The GBAC STAR program has more than 250 facilities accredited and 3,000-plus committed to accreditation in more than 80 countries, with additional facilities added daily. This results in an impressive directory that is easily searchable and always accessible," said Patricia Olinger, the council's executive director.
