Endorsement: Willis for House Dist. 77

Democrat Kathleen Willis faces a rematch with Republican Anthony Airdo in her bid for a fourth term as representative from House Dist. 77.

Willis, of Addison, has earned a reputation for bipartisanship in Springfield, and we've noted in past endorsements her useful background as a school board member in examining education funding and policy.

Airdo, a heating and air conditioning sales rep from Melrose Park, condemns the state's financial management and what he sees as corruption in Springfield, but otherwise offers little new since their last meeting to lift him above Willis, whom we endorsed previously. We back her again.
