Two houses damaged in Libertyville fire

Two houses were damaged in a fire Tuesday afternoon in Libertyville.

Firefighters responded to the 400 block of Briar Place about 1:20 p.m.. The fire at the neighboring house was quickly extinguished, a news release said, but it took about an hour before the original blaze was put out.

More than 15 area fire departments responded. The fire is under investigation.
