Full court is needed
We need a full Supreme Court to rule on legal issues related to the presidential election. Multiple challenges to election results are expected due to mail-in voting. The Biden campaign has hired 600 lawyers. The Democrats' greatest fear is if the election is unresolved, it would be sent to the House of Representatives, where each state would cast one vote to determine the next president based on who controls their state legislatures. (Currently, most state legislatures are controlled by Republicans.) There is also the issue of which electors the states will choose to vote in the electoral college voting. Only 18 states require that their electoral votes must be cast for the popular-vote winner in their state. There may be challenges to which slates are allowed to vote. Some states are on record stating that their electoral votes will be cast for the winner of the national popular vote, regardless of how the voters in their states voted. If the election results are close, this will be the most litigated presidential election in history. We may need a full Supreme Court to resolve issues.
