Bartlett police enforce truck regulations

Bartlett Police coordinated a joint commercial truck enforcement with Illinois State Police and the Illinois Secretary of State Portable Scale Unit on Lake Street near Park Boulevard on Sept. 17 to enforce overweight and other commercial motor vehicle traffic violations.

Bartlett officers cited six drivers for overweight commercial motor vehicles, two drivers for having no valid safety test stickers, and arrested one driver for working with a suspended commercial driver's license.

The Illinois State Police also inspected five commercial motor vehicles and placed one out of service.

Bartlett Police will plan more joint commercial motor vehicle enforcements in the near future, department officials said.
