Wrong-headed letter on mail-in voting

This past week my wife and I both received letters from the secretary of state of Illinois that we hadn't requested our early voting ballot.

This is a major problem and needs to be stopped now.

First, the state is broke and how on any level does the state send millions of letters with postage that they don't have. Terrible.

Second, the secretary of state has absolutely no legal connection to the Illinois Election Commission. None.

How these two state organizations have connected should be an issue to all Illinois citizens. This is wrong, wrong, wrong.
