Garage destroyed in Lombard fire

A Wednesday night fire destroyed a detached garage on the 600 block of North West Road in Lombard.

Village officials said firefighters responded to the scene about 5:36 p.m. and were able to extinguish the blaze in roughly 10 minutes. Crews then remained on the scene conducting overhaul and extinguishing hot spots.

Two residents received minor injuries and were evaluated and treated at the scene, officials said. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Officials said the garage has been determined to be a complete loss.
