Car burglaries reported in Naperville

Broken car windows and stolen valuables were reported in three separate locations in central and south Naperville this weekend, police said in a Naper Notify community alert.

The burglaries took place in park and fitness center parking lots, officials said. Credit cards that had been left inside the vehicles were then attempted to be used fraudulently.

Police are encouraging residents to never leave purses, wallets or valuables in their cars, even if they're locked.
