Chicago man charged in 2018 Waukegan murder
A Chicago man was charged Wednesday in a 2018 Waukegan shooting, authorities said.
Donyelle Roberts, 43, was taken into police custody in Racine, Wisconsin, by local authorities and the U.S. Marshals Service, according to a news release from the Waukegan Police Department.
Authorities allege Roberts shot and killed Terrance Shelton, 51, of Waukegan, on Sept. 19, 2018, on the 0-100 block of North Jackson Street,
An arrest warrant on a first-degree murder charge was issued December 2018, with bond set at $3 million. Roberts is awaiting extradition to Illinois, police said.
