Learn about solar energy options through webinar Thursday

A Solar Power Hour webinar will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday Sept. 10, to provide the basics of solar energy, the financials behind a panel installation, and how to determine a property's solar readiness.

The event also will include information about how to participate in Solarize Chicago, a partnership of the Citizens Utility Board, Midwest Renewable Energy Association and Cook, DuPage, Will and Kane counties.

The program's goal is to bring residents and small business owners together to lower the price of solar power.
