Kane County CARES Act applications

The application process in Kane County for Coronavirus Relief Funds under the CARES Act is open to municipalities, fire protection districts, townships, park districts and the Kane County Forest Preserve.

Small businesses, nonprofit organizations and municipal libraries will be invited to apply in the coming weeks.

The federal government allocated more than $92 million in coronavirus relief funds to Kane County through the CARES Act to ease the impact of the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic in our communities. To help distribute the funds, the Kane County Board established the CARES Act Allocation Committee under the direction of State's Attorney Joe McMahon and in collaboration with the county's Office of Community Reinvestment.

Small businesses and nonprofit organizations will be able to access the application portal subsequent to an informational webinar scheduled for Sept. 18. Details about the webinar will be available soon.
