Seattle hosts Portland in conference play

BOTTOM LINE: The Seattle Sounders host the Portland Timbers in a conference matchup.

The Sounders are 3-1-2 in Western Conference games. Seattle has 11 of its 16 goals in the second half of games.

The Timbers are 3-3-2 against Western Conference opponents. Portland is second in the league with 22 goals led by Diego Valeri with three.

The teams square off Sunday for the second time this season. Seattle won the last meeting 3-0.
