Worthy judges

An important but often-overlooked part of the elections happening this year are the judicial races. Circuit court judges handle most cases involving felony charges and appoint associate judges, who decide civil and misdemeanor criminal cases.

Voters must decide carefully when choosing to vote for when electing a circuit court judge, as these judges are elected every six years, and a bad judge can do a major amount of damage in that time frame.

Here is why you should vote for the following judicial candidates: Judge James F McCluskey, Judge Richard Felice, Judge Ann Celine Walsh, and Judge Monique O'Toole.

All four of these candidates come highly recommended from the DuPage County Bar Association, and are recommended from the Illinois State Bar Association. All four have decades of experience, and are highly respected by their peers and colleagues.

They are all dedicated to keeping DuPage County safe, and making it safer. Compare these records to their opponents. Two of them are only recommended by the DuPage County Bar Association, and two are not even rated by the Illinois State Bar association. They have far less experience, and none of them have served as judges. Voters in DuĀPage County must ask themselves will they vote for experienced, capable judges, who have an excellent track record of keeping DuPage County a safe place to live, or candidates with no judicial experience, with less impressive records?
