Lake Zurich extends outdoor dining approval
Lake Zurich Mayor Thomas Poynton has extended the village's approval for restaurants to offer expanded outdoor dining into 2021, or whenever the village's local emergency declaration related to the COVID-19 pandemic ends.
The village initially approved the expansion of outdoor dining in June, with the intention to end the temporary measure after Labor Day.
The measure gives restaurants the ability to place dining tables in parking lots to serve patrons during reduced indoor capacities and concerns about the spread of the coronavirus.
