Des Plaines History Center to host virtual 'Coffee Talk' on Teddy Roosevelt Sept. 3

The Des Plaines History Center will host its first virtual Coffee Talk at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3.

Author William Hazelgrove will speak about his book, “Forging a President: How the Wild West Created Teddy Roosevelt.”

The program will center on Theodore Roosevelt's formative years spent in the American West and the impact it had on the future president.

Attendees can join the event by following a Zoom meeting link that will be available on the History Center's website, desplaineshistory.org.

The History Center's Coffee Talks are an adult program meant to invite public participation and discussion on a broad range of historical topics. This program is presented by Village Bank & Trust.
