Railroad crossing on Main Street in Barrington will be closed next week

The railroad crossing on Main Street/Lake-Cook Road just west of Lageschulte Street in Barrington will be closed next week for repairs, village officials said.

The closure will affect both pedestrian and vehicular traffic from Monday to Friday. A detour route with signs will be in place during the closure, according to a post on the village's Facebook page.

Meanwhile, the southern portion of Hart Road from Main Street/Lake-Cook Road to Route 14 reopened today to northbound and southbound traffic, the police department said on Facebook.

Hart Road north of Route 14 will remain closed until about mid-September.
