Elgin police investigate Friday shooting

Elgin police are investigating a shooting that happened about 4:30 p.m. Friday on the 300 block of Watch Court.

An adult male suffered a gunshot wound that was not life-threatening and was transported to an area hospital, police said on Facebook.

Detectives from the Major Investigations and Special Investigation Divisions are investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call (847) 289-2600, or text a tip anonymously to 847411 and include ElginPD in the beginning of the narrative.
