Risky design

I am genuinely concerned that the format used on the vote-by-mail card sent by the DuPage County Clerk/Election Board will needlessly expose a person's identity information. If a voter chooses to return the ballot request card by mail, their personal information is open to anyone who reads that card. It would have been a wiser, safer design to create a fold-up card so that any personal information is not exposed to an unauthorized reader. If ease of receiving the data took precedence over the security of that voter's identity, the election board or county clerk is negligent and irresponsible. Will DuPage County take responsibility for any identity theft issues that occur?

My advice to DuPage voters: Use an envelope, wrap the card in paper to avoid detection and pay the postage yourself. (You could also complete the form online, which is what they want you to do).
