Apply now for mental health funding

Funding applications for Fiscal Year 2022 are now available from the Hanover Township Mental Health Board.

Each year the mental health board provides approximately $1 million in funding to agencies serving Hanover Township residents in the areas of mental health, developmental disabilities and substance abuse intervention and prevention.

The FY 22 funding period runs from April 1, 2021, to March 31, 2022.

"The mental health board continues to fund agencies within the community that provide direct and comprehensive services that can be easily accessed by residents of Hanover Township," said Kristen Cruthers, chairwoman of the mental health board.

"Agencies serving our residents are encouraged to apply, whether they are past recipients of annual funds or a new agency."

Annual funding applications and guidelines are available on the Hanover Township website, www.hanover-township.org.

Completed applications are due by Friday, Sept. 18. Agencies receiving funding will be notified in January 2021.

Hanover Township serves more than 101,000 residents in the communities of Streamwood, Elgin, Bartlett, Hanover Park, Hoffman Estates, Schaumburg and unincorporated Cook County.
