Youth suffers serious injuries in Wadsworth crash

A youth who was a passenger in a Toyota involved in a four-car crash Friday in Wadsworth was rushed to the hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries, the Lake County sheriff's office said.
Two other youths were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Deputies said the crash occurred around 3:40 p.m. at Route 173 and Green Bay Road.
A preliminary investigation found that a 2018 Ford cargo van traveling east on Route 173 struck a stopped 2013 Hyundai in traffic, pushing the Hyundai into 2005 Range Rover that also was stopped in traffic. The impact with the Hyundai propelled the Ford van into oncoming traffic, where it struck a 2009 Toyota traveling west on Route 173.
The crash remains under investigation.
