Suspected driver charged in fatal hit-and-run in Waukegan

A 47-year-old Zion woman turned herself in Wednesday to face a criminal charge stemming from a hit-and-run crash last month that killed a Kenosha, Wisconsin, man.

Linda J. Ray is charged with leaving the scene of an accident causing death.

Authorities say Ray was behind the wheel of a 2015 Cadillac SUV on June 4 when she struck a bicyclist on the 3600 block of North Lewis in Waukegan and then drove off. The bicyclist, Chad Aiello, 37, died the next day at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.

Ray was being held Thursday in the Lake County jail on $100,000 bail. She is scheduled to appear in court July 20.
