Palatine Businesses, PACC Members Invited to Participate in 'Explore Palatine'

The Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce (PACC) will be hosting its 3rd annual 'Explore Palatine' event. This village-wide initiative supports the local economy by encouraging area residents to explore, and in some cases discover, businesses all over Palatine - on this day, and whenever possible. Explore Palatine will take place Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Palatine-based business locations. Sponsorship opportunities are also currently available.

All Palatine businesses and PACC members are invited to participate in this event at no cost. Businesses can sign up at explorepalatine.org and are encouraged to offer sales, provide entertainment, or feature other special offers. Yellow or gold balloons will be displayed outside of participating locations to direct visitors and shoppers.

Explore Palatine is an outgrowth of PACC's 'Think Local' campaign. It was created to generate awareness about businesses and educate area residents about the importance of keeping sales tax dollars in the local communities.

"As we all work through the ongoing pandemic, local businesses need our support now, more than ever. I invite all Palatine businesses and our chamber members to participate in this event and grow our strength in numbers," said PACC Executive Director Steven Gaus. "Our hope is that the Palatine and surrounding community members will mark their calendars and spread the word to continue to grow our reach and our message."

PACC members who do not have locations in Palatine can still participate by setting up tables at shopping centers or strip mall locations within the village limits. Please contact Steven Gaus at 847-359-7200 for more information, and for sponsorship opportunities.
