Portion of Midlothian Road in Mundelein to close

Segments of Midlothian Road between Winchester Road and Route 176 in Mundelein will be closed to through traffic starting at 6 a.m. Wednesday, July 15, for two culvert replacements.

The duration for each closure is uncertain but the first culvert closure will be reopened to local traffic before the second location is closed, according to the Lake County Division of Transportation.

Message boards will be used to inform local residents of which closure is in place. The road is scheduled to reopen Tuesday, Aug. 11. The detour is Winchester Road to Route 45 to Route 176.
