ComEd invites Glen Ellyn residents to 'Jazz Up In Your Backyard' July 11
As part of its ongoing efforts to support businesses and the communities it serves, ComEd will co-sponsor this year's virtual "Jazz Up In Your Backyard" event.
To help customers who may be struggling to pay their energy bills due to the current economic climate, ComEd is making bill-assistance and energy-efficiency information available to customers on the event Web page.
This information includes but is not limited bill-payment options, financial-assistance information and no- and low-cost energy-saving tips to help customers save money and energy.
This year's event will feature performances streamed live so all may virtually attend.
To encourage residents to shop locally, for every purchase made at a participating, local business in downtown Glen Ellyn between Monday, July 5, and Sunday, July 11, customers will be entered into a drawing for a prize from ComEd.
Downtown Glen Ellyn's "Jazz Up in Your Backyard" will feature live music streamed from 4 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, July 11, on the website, jazzupglenellyn.com, or the McAninch Arts Center at College of DuPage Facebook page at www.facebook.com/AtTheMAC/.
It will feature Bellas Artes faculty jazz combo at 4 p.m., followed by Radio Free Honduras at 5 p.m., Hometown Heroes at 5:50 p.m., Jill Sanderson with Fareed Haque at 6 p.m., Chinchano at 6:30 p.m. There will be a thank you for Downtown Glen Ellyn businesses at 7:10 p.m. with the Fareed Haque Group playing at 7:20 p.m.
This program is presented by the Alliance of Downtown Glen Ellyn.
Some of the other sponsors include College of DuPage, The MAC, WDCB 90.9 Jazz, Village of Glen Ellyn, Penn French with KellerWilliams Premiere Properties, Marcel's Culinary Experience, Marche, and Chocolaterie Stam.
