Signs of return to objective journalism

I'm sorry but I no longer believe half of what I see in the news. I would still be in despair if I had not gotten a humane response from an editor at a local newspaper to my irate opinion letter. His response to my complaint was sincere and tempered with respect as he made an honest effort to respond to my concerns.

And I am happy to say that my hope for a more ethical American media was sustained even more when I saw a news reporter on TV insert into his report a humble admission of an incorrect statement he had made previously.

At a presidential press conference a One America News Network reporter stood alone when she asked a subject-related question rather than attacking or lecturing the president as all the other media people were consistently doing on unrelated issues.

And at a press conference where the White House Spokesperson was being disrespected and abused by the reporters one Eternal Word Television Network reporter stood out as a gentleman as he posed his questions in a genteel manner.

I have lived long enough to be able to detect trends. Thank God that a trend in principled and objective news reporting is slowly emerging.

There now exists a voracious appetite for objective news reporting. The American people have become sick and tired of being propagandized, indoctrinated, and demoralized by news reports that are slanted, spun or even sometimes false.

Thank God that our country will indeed survive this long nightmare of extreme divisiveness.

The pendulum has begun to swing back to objective news reporting.

I truly believe that it will be a few valorous journalist who will play a significant role in bringing us back to being as we once were ... a civilized nation.
