Liberals trying to rewrite history

This madness must cease. The liberal progressives are intent on recreating history to what they wanted it to be as opposed to what actually happened. They want to destroy historical statues and monuments that do not support their point of view. And they want to change the names of people and things that are not to their liking.

The Civil War ended over 150 years ago but they are still trying to change the facts about that. Their method seems to be if a lie is repeated enough times, it will ultimately become true and an accepted fact.

My Uncle Glenn enlisted in the Army in WWII and completed Infantry Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, Georgia. He was commissioned a lieutenant in the Army and served in the European theater of operations. Unfortunately, he was killed in the Battle of the Bulge.

In the 1960s, I enlisted in the Army and completed Infantry Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning (a very rigorous course where only one in three people who start are able to complete the course). I was commissioned as a lieutenant and served in Vietnam. I am sure my Uncle Glenn and I had no idea who Fort Benning was named after and frankly didn't care. Fort Benning has always been the Army's Infantry School and it always will be. Changing the name of Fort Benning or any other military facility would be an insult and a slap in the face to every officer and enlisted person who ever served there.

And there are a lot more of us than the progressive cry-babies that want to change the names. It's time for America to wake up. It is time to let history be what it is: history.
