Man comes into contact with power lines, dies in Rockford

ROCKFORD, Ill. (AP) - A northern Illinois man was electrocuted when he came into contact with power lines in Rockford, authorities said.

The 59-year-old Loves Park man was found in a bucket lift Thursday afternoon when staff from the Winnebago County coroner's arrived at the location in Rockford. He was pronounced dead at the scene, WREX-TV reported.

A coroner's report states that the man was electrocuted when he made contract with electrical power lines.

The victim's name was being withheld, pending notification of his family.

An autopsy is pending and results from toxicology exams should be available in the coming weeks, officials said.
