Lake County Board could extend emergency declaration Friday

The Lake County Board will meet remotely Friday to debate extending the local emergency declaration relating to the COVID-19 pandemic until July 28, as well as to discuss other issues.

The declaration first was issued in March and has been renewed several times. It allows board Chair Sandy Hart and other officials to make some decisions without board approval and enables the county to apply for emergency aid.

The meeting is set for 9 a.m. and can be viewed at lakecounty.tv.
