Urge support for Global Health Security Act

The world is full of problems that affect many people's lives. Today, we are all living in a society that can easily get the worst of an individual. Living during a pandemic can transform people for good or bad. Sadly, the world we live in is selfish and ambitious. Most people look to their own interests ignoring the interests of others. During this quarantine, there are many different opportunities for us to do good. I decided to volunteer at the Borgen Project, an influential organization that fights global poverty. As a supporter of this organization, I want to share with you how you can start looking at the interests of others from home.

According to the Borgen Project, promoting global health security is essential to combating COVID-19. We must urge Congress to support the Global Health Security Act in order to help save lives in the fight to alleviate global poverty and to protect U.S. national security interests. It is simple, we just need to email Congress to support the Global Health Security Act.

How will an email help people? Congressional staffers keep a tally of every issue that people in their district contact the leader about. This information goes into a weekly report that is viewed by the congressional leader and key staff. Just one email will get the issue or bill on your leader's radar. Building a good society starts at home.
