Mundelein cancels fireworks show due to COVID-19

You can add Mundelein's summertime fireworks show to the list of public events canceled because of the COVID-19 crisis.

Mayor Steve Lentz on Tuesday confirmed that the display, planned to coincide with the Community Days festival in early July, has been axed.

The festival itself was canceled back in May. It had been scheduled for July 2-5 and was expected to draw about 10,000 people.
